Arab Government Excellence Award
The Arab Government Excellence Award was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The best Arab government employee was granted to Dr. Salah Al Tarabsheh,. After launching the first edition, a large number of introductory seminars were organized in the Arab countries, amounting to about 50 introductory seminars, during which 1000 employees and officials belonging to more than 100 government agencies were trained. The award seeks to promote administrative development and spread the culture of institutional excellence, thus achieving national goals and strategies and boosting performance excellence by celebrating leading Arab achievement.
International Guest Scholar for the year /American College of Surgeons
The American College of Surgeons offers International Guest Scholarships to young surgeons from countries other than the United States or Canada who have demonstrated strong interests in teaching and research. The scholarships provide the scholars with an opportunity to visit clinical, teaching, and research activities in the U.S. and Canada and to attend and participate fully in the educational opportunities and activities of the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress. This scholarship endowment was originally provided through the legacy left to the College by Paul R. Hawley, MD (FACS Hon), former College Director. More recently, gifts from the family of Abdol Islami, MD (FACS), the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, and others to the International Guest Scholarship endowment have enabled the College to expand the number of scholarship awards.
King Abdullah II prestigious award for excellence

Distinguished Arab Researcher Award in the medical field
The Association of Arab Universities selected Dr. Salah Al Tarabsheh for the “Distinguished Arab Researcher Award” in the fields of medical sciences for the year 2016. The award was announced in Al Ain, The United Arab Emirates, during the meeting of the executive council of the Association of Arab Universities
Hamdi Mango Award for distinguished researcher in the medical field
Hamdi Mango Awards are for Distinguished Researchers through the generous donation from Mr. Hassan Hamdi Mango to encourage researchers continue their efforts in enriching the different fields of science. The awards are granted in three areas: Science, Medicine and Graduate Studies
Dr. Mohamed Bin Abdulla Al Khalifa prize for the 2009 research
Dr. Salah Al Tarabsheh was awarded the first Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa Prize for Medical Research in October 2009 on his research titled “Outcomes of Off- pump Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery”. The prize was named after Defense Minister Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, who has sponsored it. It was agreed that the Prize is to be held annually to encourage doctors in the region to undertake medical research. The winning medical research papers were
published in the BMB.
